Latest Cumulative Updates for Lync Server 2010
and Lync Server 2013.
Recently Microsoft published latest
Cumulative Update i.e. CU Lync Server 2010 and 2013 on Jan 2014

How to install updates?
Download the LyncServerUpdateInstaller.exe
from above path and user following options-
a.
The
/silentmode switch applies to all updates in the background.
b.
The
/silentmode /forcereboot switch applies to all updates in the
background. If it is necessary, the switch then automatically restarts the
server at the end of the installation process.
c. The
/extractall switch extracts the updates from the installer and then saves
the updates to a subfolder that is named "Extracted." This is located
in the folder in which you ran the command.
After CU updates on you need to update
backend server i.e. SQL Database.
Best practice is to stop the services on all Lync Front End server.
Command let: Lync Server 2010
Install-CsDatabase
-Update -ConfiguredDatabases -SqlServerFqdn
-UseDefaultSqlPaths
Lync Server 2013
Install-CsDatabase
-ConfiguredDatabases -SqlServerFqdn FEBE.FQDN -Verbose
